Chocolate Muffins with Cherry Heart

Ingredients (for 6 people):

  1. 3.52 oz. cup of Charles & Alice 100% Fruit for All Cherry with Apple
  2. 2 eggs
  3. ½ cup butter
  4. ½ cup dark chocolate
  5. ½ cup of sugar
  6. 1/4 cup flour
  7. 1 teaspoon yeast

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven 425° F.
  2. In a bowl, melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave for 2 minutes, then add the eggs and sugar.
  3. Mix with a whisk, then add the yeast and flour.
  4. Fill your muffin pan starting with 1 tablespoon of the chocolate mixture, then 1 teaspoon of Charles & Alice 100% Fruit for All Cherry with Apple, and then finish filling with the chocolate mixture.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes.
  6. Let cool and enjoy warm.

Gourmet Tip:

For more rich muffins, you can add a square of white chocolate with fruit in the heart of the muffins.

French Toast with Apricot

Ingredients:

  1. Three 3.52 oz. cups of Charles & Alice 100% Fruit for All Apple Apricot
  2. ¼ cup of butter
  3. 3 tablespoons sugar
  4. 4 slices of brioche or another bread of your choice
  5. 1 ¼ cup of skim milk
  6. 1 egg
  7. 5/8 cup flaked almonds

Preparation:

  1. Mix milk and eggs until smooth and creamy.
  2. Dip the brioche (or other bread) slices in the milk and egg mixture.
  3. In a skillet or griddle, melt the butter and fry the brioche (or other bread) pieces until they are golden brown.
  4. Meanwhile, in a dry pan, heat the almonds and sugar together until carmelized.
  5. To serve, arrange the warm brioche (or other bread) slices on a plate, then place 3 tablespoons of Charles & Alice 100% Fruit for All Apricot with Apple on top with some sliced almonds.

This recipe works well with other varieties of Charles & Alice 100% Fruit For All too.

Fruit Filled Donuts

Ingredients (for 6 people):

  1. Two 3.52 oz. cups of the Charles & Alice 100% Fruit For All variety of your choice
  2. ½ cup whole milk
  3. ¼ cup butter
  4. 1 packet of yeast
  5. 2 ¼ cup flour + 3/8 cup
  6. 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  7. 1 egg
  8. Oil for frying

Preparation:

  1. Melt the butter in a pan, then add the milk.
  2. Remove from heat and add the whole egg, sugar, yeast and flour, then mix thoroughly.
  3. Knead the dough and let it grow on a clean cloth about 1 hour. The dough should double in volume.
  4. Sprinkle the flour and spread it out 0.5 cm or 1/5 of an inch thick.
  5. Divide the dough into 6 pieces.
  6. Sprinkle them with flour again and shape into balls.
  7. Make a hole in center of each and give them the form of donuts, let them grow again under a dry cloth for 30 minutes.
  8. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat and brown the donuts about 2 minutes on each side.
    Let them cool on a rack and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Before serving, cut them in half and garnish with the variety of your choice of Charles & Alice 100% Fruit for All.
